Think about it though, Scott. Suggests to me that the grid is not presently configured for the spread-out sources of power Obama envisions. It was designed for large-scale power plants. This is, to me, an indication of a much broader problem with the happy green-power story. Agree?
Oh, absolutely. All the easy fixes end up being neither easy, nor fixes, with the main problem being that our government is now giving preferential treatment to things that have never been shown to work on a large scale over things that have worked well for decades.
I’m ok with wind farms and such, There are large windfarms in western Oklahoma and Texas that I’ve seen. Pretty impressive.
just needs more work than they are willing to tell, and they aren’t as efficient as fuel powered plants either. Not by a long shot.
I’m ok with anything anyone wants to try with their own money. I’m not ok with the federal government thinking it can tell people what they should be trying to do.
