Okay, I’ll bite on this, only because there is a photo, and I don’t believe Obama would deny any of it. The Indonesian citizen thing may be a little iffy, but it is certainly believable. Texas Darlin’ is opening up this can of worms (thanks to Purple Chiten, who also has the story, for the tip).

So, once again, it is not the underlying facts that cause concern, it is that Obama seems not to be forthcoming with those facts. He denies he was ever a Muslim, but apparently he was. Why doesn’t he just say so? If he was adopted by his step-father and his name was Soetoro, why not just say so? If he was once an Indonesian citizen, or held dual citizenship, tell us.

It is Obama’s failure to address these things that is the most troubling, because he leaves it to members of the public and the press to find out basic biographical information. Why should we have to do that? It leaves the impression that there is something to hide, perhaps some reason he might not meet the minimum requirements to become president, and that he might be trying to sneak into office before anyone figures it out. When a candidate can’t be candid about such things, the lack of candor alone disqualifies him from holding the office he seeks.
