So many weird racial references, so little time. This post-racial presidency sure is racially focused.

My friend and fellow blogger LaShawn Barber says:

RT @La_Shawn: Re: mongrel: true that black Americans aren’t “pure” African; just an odd topic for a president. Race, race, race. Sick of it.

What exactly did our post-racial president say? Jimmie Bise tells us:

Our Commenter-in-Chief spent this morning on “The View” having a little chit-chat with the Four Yentas of the Apocalypse. Things appeared to be going along rather swimmingly until he delved into the issue of race. That’s when this happened.

When asked about his background, which includes a black father and white mother, Obama said of African-Americans: “We are sort of a mongrel people.”

“I mean we’re all kinds of mixed up,” Obama said. “That’s actually true of white people as well, but we just know more about it.”

Yes, most Americans are racially mixed people. Most of us do not refer to ourselves as mongrel. In addition, many Americans enjoy going into their history and know their geneology. This is an American activity not exclusively the provenance of black mongrels. Man. What is wrong with out President?

That’s kind of a rhetorical question, but also, an actual question. Does the President just fold like a cheap deck chair under the pressure of unscripted situations? Or is it that when he talks freely, he talks from the heart and his heart is not at all politically correct and actually mean?

Also, let’s make President Obama’s pandering and offensive language about conservative sexism, shall we? Here comes Amanda Marcotte to save the leftist day!

Once again, I’m forced to question if conservatives are capable of remembering that they gave women the vote nearly a century ago. The new faux scandal on the right is that President Obama is going on “The View”, and the reason that this is supposedly a disgrace is pretty blatantly argued as “bitches ain’t shit”. For all the right wing romanticizing of housewives, it’s pretty fucking interesting that they object so strenuously to the President taking time out of his schedule to speak directly to housewives, who, last I checked, have the right to vote. But to make the whole thing even more obviously about straight-up sexism, the way the “scandal” is being debated involves pitching a show aimed at a female audience against the Boy Scouts. Glenn Beck, CNS, Fox News, Laura Inagraham, etc.—they’re all faux angry because the President is speaking to adult women about politics instead of to male children.

I honestly can’t think of a better example of the conservative attitudes towards women than anger that the President appears to believe that adult women are more adult than minor children who happen to be male.

How about this idea: The President shouldn’t be on late-night TV (I know, I hate men, and people who stay up late at night). The President doesn’t need to be doing NFL commercials (oops, hate athletic kids and professional football). The President doesn’t need to be on daytime television (the aforementioned sexism).

I like comedians. I like NFL football. I like men. I like children to exercise. I do not like The View, but I did used to like Oprah.

What I don’t like is the President of the United States of America putting his mug on TV everywhere all the time for no other reason than to shore up (ostensibly) poll numbers because his record stinks.

What I don’t like is being lectured about being politically correct by a guy who uses the word “mongrel” to describe people.

What I don’t like is the absolute nonsense that passes for supreme insight and intelligence.

Smart people don’t go on a ridiculous talk or comedy show and use words like retard and mongrel. Smart Presidents know better than putting themselves in such silly positions and are above doing so because it diminishes them and the office they hold. The only conclusion? President Obama is not nearly as smart as we’ve been repeatedly told. And that’s unfortunate for him and us.

UPDATED:

From Basil Blog:

I grew up in southeast Georgia, where Blacks comprised nearly 40% of the population during the 1960s and 1970s. It’s down to around 30% statewide today. So, unlike most Whites in the home states of Barack Obama and Daniel Inouye (1.6%), Nancy Pelosi (6.1%), Harry Reid (6.4%), or Howard Dean (0.6%), I actually grew up going to school with, playing with, going to church with … Blacks.

I’ve never considered Blacks a mongrel people. Still don’t, despite what the president says.

And I haven’t changed my opinion of Barack Obama, either. He is a jackass.

That is 110% correct. Now you understand. Do not ask me to explain my dislike or try to understand it. This is still the US, this is still a somewhat free country I can like, dislike whomever I like and I don't have to justify it to anyone, least of all to a stranger.

  2. You have a disgusting mind, Quicksand.

  3. HollyLamb, that's right. This is a free country and you can hate people for any reason you want, or even no reason at all. You can be as stupid as you want.

  4. Birdlady

He is such an embarrassment to the human race!!!!

  5. Quicksand

No. What is disgusting is how many drones like you, choose to ignore the pain and suffering your Marxist leader and his czars are causing on the citizens of this great country.

  6. hollylamb

Yes as you have clearly demonstrated using yourself as a good example. Not just as being as stupid as want, but when you fail to convince to someone you resort to name calling or some other rule for radicals. One day when you are enslaved you might think twice about your words. I hope it's long before your liberalism comes back to bite you hard in the backside.

  7. hollylamb

Birdlady do you mean Obama or Aaron?

  8. Oh!…that's great helpful, it's so right to me! Million thanks for the article,

  9. Birdlady

I meant the 'muslim terrorist pig from hell' but if you want it to apply to aaron, go ahead. It is just my opinion, but anyone who voted for that low-life after listening to him declare how he wanted to 'change and transform' America didn't look deep enough to know those were only that marxists pigs code words for Divide and Conquer the greatest nation in the world. Oh yeah, and while he is at his destruction, he will work without rest to destroy our allies as well.

Alright, Holly! You go girl! LOL

If I remember correctly the TOS for Patriot Room.com moved to this site when PR became LP, and it states that commenters are free to call someone and idiot when they display idiocy.

Aaron is a kool aid drinking idiot. There is no reasoning with him just like there is no reasoning with obozo. They don't understand reason. It is beyond their mental capabilities. Y'all put forth good, honest facts, and Aaron dances around them in the most ridiculous obamaesque fashion that if it were not so sad it would be hilarious. I wouldn't waste any more time on him.

I did not intentionally put that link in my response. I don't know how it got there.
