Limbaugh to NBC: Attacks on me are like shooting BB’s at a battleship (Video)

Great interview with The King of Radio. There is lots of good stuff in here, but one comment he makes near the end really captures what drives the libs nuts about him. First, he knows the left has no sense of humor when it comes to politics. They literally cannot take a joke if it is about one of their guys. So when he says he switches from penetrating analysis to satire in an instant, the satire part is like waving shiny objects in front of liberals’ faces; they become so distracted by the satire that they never bother to analyze his underlying argument.

And it is true, as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow on Barack Obama, that the left is utterly humorless. We see it all the time. If you make a joke about Nancy Pelosi’s facelifts in one line of a 500 word post on health care, all the lefties can say is how mean spirited you are for attacking Nancy, or how such comments undercut the rest of your argument, or how unfunny it is, blah, blah, blah.

The second thing Rush knows drives the left batsh#t crazy is felonious violations of political correctness. To have the Lefty Thought Police (a precursor to the Shock Troops of the Fairness Doctrine, who intend to physically stop conservatives from broadcasting) tell us what we can and cannot say and to specify how things must be said so as to not offend them (which, to the left, not being offended is apparently a Constitutional right – otherwise why silence the “offenders?”), is an affront to the 1st Amendment. It is also silly. So there are few things more fun than violating silly, unconstitutional leftist speech codes. Rush has mastered the art of making normal people laugh and making liberals’ heads explode.

And he is laughing all the way to the bank.
