Call it the TownhollersTM Greatest Hits of 2009. If the next few weeks see the end of the debate on Nationalized healthcare, and if Obama and his buddies fail to ram this Socialist monstrosity down our throats, the victory laurels will go to many pundits and bloggers, and a few politicians. But the townhollers, through the vibrant reemergence of full-throated self government, will have been the ones who saved us. They will have been the ones who stood in front of the tank and made it stop. They were the ones who saw this fringe group of Socialists trying to make the United States into a European welfare state. And then they remembered, wait a minute, this is a Republic, these SOB’s work for us. And if those politicians choose to not work for us by voting for a government takeover of healthcare, they they will very soon no longer work for us at all. If this debate ends with the defeat of ObamaCare, these are the folks we have to thank most of all.
