Edward Murrow and Barack Obama

President Barack Hussein Obama, the 44th President of the United States, has requested that we report “fishy” information to him concerning health-care. I believe that “fishy” begins with the very request itself. Regardless, let’s allow Edward Murrow to address a similar situation in the past:

We have the right to speak our minds. We are not prompted or controlled by special-interest groups or members of the mass media, be the latter radio or otherwise. The sheer suggestion that we are not independent men and women is an insult of the highest order. I will speak my mind. I will refuse to be silent. And any elected official that suggests otherwise can burn in Hell. We have a representative democracy. Our elected representatives that refuse to hold townhall meetings or convert them to phone-ins to avoid facing us can likewise burn in Hell.

This is my government, dammit. I am full of the Chris Dodds enriching themselves and Henry Waxmans thinking they can tell me what lightbulbs to use. Those days are over. They’ve even gone so far as to use personal violence to silence us. In a singular sense, they have grossly under-estimated the American people.

I just e-mailed the special WH e-address informing them that “I am insulted by the mere existence of this e-address. This is not democracy.” I intend to send the e-mail many times. “Many” is limited only by my lack of programming skills to flood the e-box with e-mails at a rate of thousands per minute.

I’ve never read Brian Terminal’s blog before (his name may be Evan – I can’t venture into those grounds; too weird), but he has the blatant illegality of this request nailed. Read it and chuckle. You are all nobles now. It is good to be in the company of such royal kin. Exercise your rights as owners of this country.

E this clown of a president and let him know your feelings. (If you don’t have a default mail program set up, use flag@whitehouse.gov) The domain of the e-address is the White House. Obama is using our tax dollars to fund his McCarthy-style witch hunt. Nail him.
