    Everything currently being proposed by this President and this Congress violates states rights. Although, to be fair, this is no new phenomenon. Next to nobody in the federal government believes in states rights anymore.

    Interestingly enough, though, my state is proposing a law that would protect the people of our state on this issue. The Arizona legislature has introduced HC2014, an initiative that, if passed, would amend the state constitution so that no resident would be required to participate in any public health care option.

    We need to raise the issue to give opponents more ammo. Somebody in AZ got the idea early. The more states that follow suit, the more likely somebody somewhere will be able to take this thing to court (unless, of course, we kill it in the crib).
