Best Berlin Wall video you will see today
There are lots of good ones out there. Scott put up Reagan’s speech, of course. Clyde had Sen. McConnell’s tribute to the event (video added). Hot Air has a few good ones, all of which are worth a few minutes.
But this is the one that got me. Freedom-loving people the world over, and especially our allies who were liberated from the yoke of Communist tyranny, are celebrating the triumph of good over evil.
So ask yourself as you watch it, what the hell is wrong with Barack Obama?
UPDATE:
I think I answered my own question. Remember when Michelle Obama said she had never been proud of her country until her husband ran for president? Could it be that her husband agrees?

It should be a National Holiday!

Because he is a communist?
This made me cry.
I would think it was simply sad and embarrasing that the President was too busy to attend this event, if it weren’t for the fact that he staged a campaign event there. I wonder if anyone can explain why that was appropriate, while going now is simply not necessary? I’m not just raising this as a smart-aleck rhetorical question…I am throwing it out there for someone to take a shot at it. It seems impossible to me to explain as anything but narcissism and revisionist history; it’s important if it helps him, but it’s not so important when it’s more important than him, or when it conflicts with the story line?
This is like a foreign leader doing an election photo-op at Ground Zero, and winning the election, and then blowing off an invitation to the 9/11 memorial event because they oppose the existence of Guantanamo Bay. Can you imagine how insulted we would be?
Give that man a prize!
I love this website.
That really is the best Berlin Wall video I can imagine.
As for what the hell is wrong with Barack Obama.
Not only does he embody the marriage of Islam and crazed statism, but he has a very large chink missing down in his heart.
Someone elsewhere said that he doesn’t belong at the Berlin celebration, and now that I think about it, I’m inclined to agree.
Good point about maybe not belonging in Berlin. He says he didn’t have time to go to Berlin, but of course he found the time to go deliver a ‘Look At Me’ speech in the same city while running for president. I’m thinking he was pretty busy then too, and Germans don’t even vote in American elections.
Ariel,
I agree with you about this website. I love it also and the 4 goofy guys who write here too.
I do have a question though. What heart? Didn’t know he had one.
I’m glad Obama didn’t go to the anniversary celebration. His video was enough of an embarassment. In person, he would have doubly embarassed the US. He is very bad at being on the world stage. He should just stay home and tend the WH garden with Michelle; raise turnips and broccholi (Bush hated broccholi).
Good video – them’s was heady times for Germany, the US and the world. We won’t have anything like that during this POTUS’s term.
Group hug!
We are in the Age of Moral Relativism. There are no good guys or bad guys. Everybody has a valid argument, and to celebrate victory over another country is just, well . . . unseemly, crass, and unrefined. Kumbaya.
Thanks, Bill. I needed a hug.
