Latest from my daughter …

Hardcore punk/metal band Death by Stereo have been going strong for 11 years so far, popular for their unique genre-bending sound. They have bounced around a couple of record labels in the past including Indecision Records from 1998-2000 and Epitpah Records from 2000-2009. Recently signed to Serjical Strike, a record label created by System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian, Death by Stereo will release their fifth album as label debut. You can listen to two songs from the album entitled “I Sing for You” and “The Last Song” on their Myspace page and also check out the video updates on the band. On July 17th they will have an album release show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California, so hit it up!

“They have set out to disprove the stereotypes of metal being blasphemous and evil by producing spiritual and uplifting lyrics through the medium of heavy music.”

She’s good. That one almost makes me want to listen, but I’m afraid my hardcore country brain cells would be traumatized.

One more assist on the tuition burden. Remember this when my 13 year old starts college & I need to hawk some of her art work, okay?

Jourdaine is doing great at this gig.

Thanks, AG, she is. She just interviewed the lead guitarist from Papa Roach yesterday, and has pre-tour and then at-the-venue interviews with Lacuna Coil coming up. Remarkable the access she is getting – and she is so level-headed about it. I’m thrilled!

Yes, when your daughter is ready to have her work pushed, just let me know!
